Marketing Major Joins ASU Small Business Team as Social Media Marketing Intern
The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center has been fortunate to work with a number of very sharp interns from the College of Business over the years. These undergraduate and MBA candidates have helped our consultants on a variety of topics from market research and feasibility studies to financial analysis and loan packaging. Several have gone on to work in banking, marketing, and other fields due to the time they spent with our small business owners. This spring we have a new marketing intern, Cierra Lee who will be working with clients interested in improving (or launching) Internet marketing plans, especially in social m
edia.
Welcome Cierra Lee! Learn more about Cierra and how the ASU SBTDC can help your small business with your online marketing needs.

I interviewed Cierra just before the Christmas Holidays and immediately realized that we were going to have a great new intern for the Spring, especially when I learned how interested she was to work with small businesses in social media marketing!
Welcome to the ASU SBTDC team Cierra!
Here’s a little about Cierra and her interests:
Cierra Lee, Social Media Marketing Intern ASU SBTDC
I am Cierra Lee, a graduating senior at Arkansas State University from Pine Bluff, Arkansas majoring in Marketing Management. I have aspirations to become a Marketing Manager for either a fashion-oriented business in hopes to branch off into brand management or work within the marketing department of a non-profit organization. I wish to eventually start my own consulting business within the fashion industry and a college preparatory after school program for high school students in at risk communities.
I applied for the Social Media Internship with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) this spring after hearing what a great learning opportunity it was from past interns and Dr. Shane Hunt, ASU College of Business Marketing Professor. I am aware of the increasing number of businesses who would like to reach their customers through social media’s exponentially growing fan base. I am excited to consult with businesses that are unfamiliar with the territory and who seek assistance in properly implementing social media marketing into their overall marketing plans. I am equally excited to learn more about social media network development, market research, and business proposals among many other offerings within the ASBTDC Internship program here at Arkansas State University.
Cierra will be working with us through May 2012 and we want to make sure to give her some real-life experience helping small businesses with their online marketing plans. Learn more about how you can leverage our free, confidential consulting assistance and put Cierra to work for your small business!
