Helping You Stay In Touch with Customers On the Go
I am always coming across cool tools designed to improve your productivity, many of them I put to work for me. So I thought I would start sharing some of the tools I use with our readers. If this is something you like, we will try to post a new one every Tuesday.
Our first cool tool (and no I do not get anything in return for sharing) is a mobile app called Glyder. On the move? Glyder lets you stay connected with your social media customers while you are on the go.
You are on the go, but you know you need to keep in touch with customers through your social media. Sure you have your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other sites on your smart phone, but sometimes you want to do more than just share a tweet, a status update or a photo you shoot.
You want something to remind them about an upcoming event, a sale, or just to connect with a good visual they will remember.
Then you need to look at Glyder, Glyder is free, you download it to your smart phone and it comes with a wide variety of eye-catching templates you can use to share a photo, send a reminder, or a link, or all three.
- Customer Retention
- Social Media
- Even specific templates based on holidays or events.
I found the templates easy to use and modify to fit the message I want to share. Glyder has several optional selections within each major grouping.
Glyder supports the major social networks and Email systems
You can send them out to your customer base via:
- Constant Contact,
- Your regular Email,
- Even send SMS.
In addition to the templates and network channel options, Glyder also provides you with some good analytics after the message is sent.
On your mobile Glyder home screen youwill see a list your last two posts including:
- A copy of the actual template you used,
- The status of the post,
- The total reach among potential views and,
- An engagement analysis to see what type of sharing happened.
Glyder Provides a Second Layer of Information
Glyder even provides a shot with more details about the engagement broken out by network. Although Glyder does not support Pinterest at the moment as an initial network option, when you click the “edit” button at the top right it opens a third screen that allows you to:
Glyder is constantly adding new templates and sends you an email whenever a new one comes out.
Very cool tool for small business marketers who want to keep their messages going even while they are on the go. I have been playing with it for a couple weeks and as a mobile “FREE” app have been satisfied with the performance.
The biggest negative I have found is that there is no scheduling option available so, when you hit the button it goes out! Other than that it has been a good tool to use when I am mobile
Now it is your turn…. have you tried Glyder? What did you think? Are you using some other mobile tool similar to Glyder? Share it with us and we will pass it on to our readers!
