BATESVILLEOperation Smart Start – Taking your Business to the Next Level 6 Night series begins Thursday, Independence County Next Level SeminarFebruary 21st for 6 Thursday nights at the University Of Arkansas Community College in Batesville.  A 6 week series designed to help existing businesses grow and reach new markets.  Over the 6 weeks small business owners will learn how to improve marketing operations, leverage new marketing sources, manage finances, create realistic budgets and much more. Business leaders and experts in specific fields as well as commercial lenders will show attendees how to take their businesses to the next level. JONESBOROIntroduction to Small Business Innovative Grant (SBIR) Program, Tuesday, February 26th, 10 am to noon at the ASU Delta Center for Economic Development.  Instructor – Rebecca Norman, ASBTDC Innovation Consultant.  This free small business innovative research programs in Arkansasworkshop will introduce high-tech entrepreneurs and university researchers to the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program.  The SBIR/STTR program offers federal funding support for innovative research and development projects that meet specific agency needs.  Participants will learn about the basic requirements for program participation, methods for assessing qualifying technologies and research projects, and how to get started with the SBIR/STTR program.  TO REGISTER: Contact the ASU SBTDC (870) 972-3517, email us at asusbtdc@astate.edu or register online at SBIR/STTR workshop.  COST:   No charge, but MUST register.
